I was born in the US, but my parents immigrated from Mexico. I actually oppose illegal immigration, you need to know that many illegals abuse the government handouts that are funded by the remaining Americans that have little, or no jobs during this economic crisis. The state government needs to remove these programs, stop giving amnesty, and enforce laws.

I don't support it, and I don't think anybody Hispanic/non-Hispanic says it's OK to come here illegally, they just know that many are too interwined in our economy and workforce to get rid of them. But I do like to talk about "the other side of the story", the side that the media doesn't talk about.

Essentially, Peri found that immigrants complement (rather than replace) native workers. Because most immigrants in California are unskilled laborers without a high school diploma, they end up filling in the gaps in California's labor market, where most native workers have more than a high school diploma but less than a doctorate degree.

I'm hispanic and I support most illegal immigrants. But, my family and friends' families hate them and always say "we came here legally, why can't they?". Legal and illegal immigrants are fighting over the same jobs, resources, etc so there's going to be conflict between them. But it's mostly for selfish reasons that legal immigrants hate illegal immigrants.

You could say the same thing about Cuban immigration. Why were Cubans allowed into the the US after the revolution without question, and the rest of immigrants had to go through the long, arduous process? But just because your Hispanic doesn't mean you're an immigrant (puerto rico, 2nd, 3rd generation latinos) and all Hispanics don't have to think alike.

Of course I would support white people coming into this country. White people are civilized. What do we have on the border right now? Kidnapping, rape, murder etc. Must be the frito bandito causing the problem.
