I'm rather inspired by people who would come to this country willing to work hard for very little. I know illegal immigrants seek a better life and I would do the same thing in their shoes, illegal or not. The fact that they have taken the time to rapidly form a political movement is even more impressive.

They can work here LEGALLY. It has nothing to do with Hispanics - just illegals period. Too many people have had to play by the rules to become citizens and they just waltz in the US, take away jobs.., no, they have no rights to be here.

View from a foreigner who has no interest whatsoever in becoming an alien in the US (legal or else wise).

First, I agree that the "i" makes a difference and I get a little annoyed when I'm walking in a public space in my country (like a supermarket or a mall) and hear some foreign language being spoken, so I can relate to the anti-illegal feeling of Americans.

That said, illegal immigrants create a stock of unemployed legals (immigrants or citizens), which is a good thing as long as you're not one of them. This reduces wage hikes and therefore inflationary pressure. This in turns allows the FED to maintain lower rates which is good for the economy as a whole. It's good for the national debt, for private investments in production, for consumer spending, for real state prices (that may plummet if FED rates are high for too long) and for all those in debt.

Illegals are only a threat to the legal loser. Lets face it, if you're losing jobs for someone who can't be hired legally, can't speak the language and probably has little or no education, you ARE a loser.

Well, that government is corrupt because they are making deal and agreements with the U.S. and other developed countries, and when people do rise up and try to change their government what happens? Have you heard of Salvador Allende or currently Hugo Chavez? The U.S tries to overthrow governments that want to help their people, because this country benefits from the cheap labor and the one-sided treaties and free-trade agreements that they sign with these corrupt governments. These are the reasons for the large waves of immigrants, the U.S. stole their resources and they are just trying to get them back.

The issue is ILLEGAL immigrants, not LEGAL immigrants (Those in the news and on the minds of the citizens of the USA are those illegally crossing our southern border at MEXICO. some are from Mexico and some are from other countries using that border to get here)-They are hired by businesses in our country, the businesses should be prosecuted for hiring illegals
-They pay lower wages to the illegal immigrants than they once paid the American worker, thus American worker wages fall -Americans would do the jobs at the fair wage the businesses formerly paid them. -There is no job they do that Americans won't do. When they say they work harder than Americans, that is a racist remark. Plus, Americans worked to build and keep this land, we didn't run to another country crying with our hand held out. We have stamina and PRIDE. -Illegal immigrants abuse our govrnment assistance programs that were meant for the citizens of the USA when they fall on hard times, not illegal immigrants
-They can't afford doctors so they glut the ER of hospitals to seek medical care -Our forefathers built this country. Some were illegal, that was then, this is now. We now have immigration laws that are to be abided by, we didn't then
-Our country fought the Mexican-American war and WON, then paid $15 million dollars for that land and for the privilege of whooping the Mexicans a$$e$ -The illegal immigrant worker is only a tip of the iceberg of problems to come, brought by the illegals coming across the border. They want "conquista" (reconquor), they'll tell you that. They want that land we whooped their butts for, they can't accept defeat. -They flew their flags in protest of the USA, the very country that has been putting food on their tables. -They disrespect the people of the USA and our leaders.
They should be deported and the sooner the better. Our borders should be tightened up and patrolled with armed guards. America needs to wake up.

I think they should stay. What you people are forgetting is that american is known about culture and the diversity. It is the melting pot of the world. That is what America is all about. Should the American people support an invasion? Why is "Homeland Security" doing very little about the problem, telling border agents to run the other way from illegals?
