I am not obsessed with either legal or illegal immigrants. I am to busy getting an education to succeed in life. America would not be what is is if it was not for immigrants (legal and illegal) History shows that this nation is made of mostly people from other countries. I favor restricting the borders, and most measures to deal with criminals (American, immigrants or whatever) I oppose making illegal immigrants criminals, because I great deal of them have never committed a punishable crime.

Not obsessed with LEGAL or illegal. But when it comes to illegal, what part of that word don't people understand. If you want to come to our country for a better life, no problem.......just do it legally. If they are LEGAL as in your question, there should be no problem at all.

NOT OBSESSED BUT VERY MAD!!!
I'm an immigrant, naturalized citizen and I'm not happy with the illegal immigrants that come here as guests and think they can impose laws by force and cohersion. I have also helped relatives to come to the U.S. but always in accordance with the law and waiting the years we had to wait. We have also requested a visa for my sister in law, but I have to wait longer... maybe 10 or 12 years until her visa comes up. Therefore, I do not appreciate have her place taken over by someone who has come here illegally and now wants to be legally recognized... what then? Am I to understand that doing things the illegal way is the way to get them done sooner?
In addition, there are many other aspects to discuss regarding immigration... I think a poor job has been done in screening who can and who cannot come... Look at those who instead of building a life for themselves all they do is live off welfare and such... And the ones that faked injuries to collect small fortunes that they could even use to start a business in their native land? I have seen this with my own eyes, working as an interpreter... They are granted not only money to fund their new business but also the services of market research professionals, free as well. Outrageous!
And have you thought about the fact that if people continue to come to this country, pretty soon the U.S. will stop being what it is and would look more like an underdeveloped country?
If people want to come and live here, we should first be able to establish their intentions, since many, many legal residents of this country only come here for the money but inside they hate this country. All immigrants should be required to learn the language, be useful citizens, work and respect the laws of the land and customs. They should not be allowed to impose on the rest of us their customs... they can do whatever they want in their homes, but if they want to live in America, then they need to adapt to our laws and life style too!

No, not obsessed, but very concerned... and I do wish the criminals had stayed in their own corrupt countries.... I would like to see all illegal aliens and their children DEPORTED with all haste possible....

My thoughts:

Illegal aliens are criminals...
they become criminals the moment they illegally enter the USA....
Mexican illegal aliens are also slaves of the corrupt ruling class in Mexico....
the corrupt Mexican ruling class more or less forces them out of Mexico into a life of crime in the USA....
the illegal aliens(slaves)(criminals) STEAL from the USA....
they send stolen proceeds back to family in Mexico....
their relatives spend the money....
the money ends up in the hands of their corrupt Mexican ruling class slave masters in Mexico...
the corrupt ruling class grows richer, more powerful, the cycle is profitable....
the cycle repeats.... and repeats... and repeats.... and now America is awakening... and America is pissed... and rightfully so... the invasion and resultant THEFT is destroying America and her cities... her people's standard of living and wages are in decline.... The American people are demanding action.... the criminal invasion must stop.... ILLEGAL ALIENS must be DEPORTED...

Illegal aliens are also DESERTERS... and they are harming their country and their people by their desertion.... the situation in their home countries will never improve until the desertion stops and those who would desert or have deserted fight for rights and freedoms in their home countries....

So, ILLEGAL ALIENS are ALL CRIMINALS and DESERTERS...
ILLEGAL ALIENS from MEXICO are all

well, if you look at the history of our country, we have gone through periods of strong immigration and low immigration and there is always a backlash from americans. immigration is an integral part of this country. its what we are based on... everyone except native americans are descendents of immigrants. remember what this country is about... read the inscription on the statue of liberty.

if they are threatening your job choices, working in the farms or other minimum wage jobs, I can why why you would be threatened. If you work hard and get a good education and a good job, no, they aren't a threat. We are all humans who should wish the best for humanity. Concentrate on improving yourself.

Nope.....I am angry at all the racial slurs thrown at illegal immigrants.....I am happy we are a country of immigrants.....I welcome those who learn our culture and speak the language, be it legal or illegal....

legals are more of a detriment to the economy than illegals...so in a way, yes.
