Yes I will sign it. Okay, we are all probabally 'immigrants' or descendants of people who came here at some point in history.

However the point is that we have reached saturation levels with housing in crisis and health services under massive strain.

Yes we were built on 'immigration' to a degree, however we are a tiny island and there comes a point when we have to realise we are full!!

im not against it, i just think that we should have laws like austrailia. Keep those who work and are proactive towards the UK in and the illegal ones and those who scrounge off us out.

I agree sort of. I don't think we need to stop immigration, just slow it down. If we don't have enough water and resources for the population now, why are we still letting so many people migrate..

There should be a limit on "net" immigration into the UK of 15000 per year. This figure would include all immigration, EU, non EU commonwealth etc. One of the many benefits of this would be to reduce housing shortage, reduce burden on infrastructure on roads, schools and social services and decrease taxes. This is by no means a racist issue as some would have you believe. It is simply a matter of economics and size. We are a small Island and simply cannot hold any more people. We must therefore look after the people we already have here, both immigrants and British citizens.

immigration is a good thing if you stop it would you also stop emigration just think if our ancestors had all stayed in their homelands the world would be a very different place even birds migrate
as previously stated illegal immigrants is a different issue and we should be tougher on this issue

I think we are going to have to discuss our immigration policies and the number of immigrants we are letting in today. This country is out of control on the numbers that is without a doubt.
Even during the great wave of immigration 1880's to 1926 we only let in 9 hundred thousands a year when we were 60 million pop. We were building highways byway, railroads manufacturing and farming which was 10 time more then we are doing today.
Until late 70's the USA produced 85% of all the goods consumed in the world today we do less the 20%

Today we let 3 times more immigrants then we create jobs yearly. Less then 15 % are educated or have means to support themselve.
It would take 10 yrs for all the other countries who take in immigrants to catch up with one year of our immigration number.
We are the only first world nation racing to the bottom.

Interesting it took 20 years for Americans to wake up and see the problems of illegal immigration, talk about it where it has become a political issue. But, less then 5 yrs to see the problems of legal immigration and demanding discussion on the legal immigration problems and its numbers.
It is scaring a lot of people whose goal is to turn this into a two tie country utra rich and poor.
The middle class are the only ones that keep the rich in control. That is world wide and has been since the beginning time in history.

No I would not limit immigration. I suspect that we do not have too many people on our small islands (yes, there is more than one!) but that too many of them are concentrated in a very small area in the south east.

If people were more spread out, then their skills would actually add to the overall resources of the country.

ummm not a chance. This country is built on the foundation of immigration. Your ancestors did not materialize out of thin air; they came here from somewhere (judging by the question, Europe I would assume). You are talking about stopping illegal immigration which is a whole different ball game. Immigration is key to a healthy American society.
