It could have just as easily been assumed that he meant "haunt" society.
As in are they the unseen people that are a burdened to taxpayers and the government as a whole.

Link 3 - Illegals and crime - I saved the PDF at the bottom of the page for my reading at a later time all I really needed to read was two parts of that page to say I do not have the time for these kind of "studies." What is written?
"Misleading Academic Studies
The misleading data produced by academics and think tank researchers that show a lower incidence of crime by aliens is based upon a comparison of data that include all foreign born residents with data for the native born population. Because these data compare all foreign born residents to the native born population, they are largely irrelevant to describing the illegal alien crime incidence."
But above it states "By comparison, the illegal alien prison population represented a bit more than 4.54 percent of the overall prison population." Their doing what they say is misleading.
Link 4 - A blog? He spend the first four paragraphs saying his figures were wrong then uses the site I provide in my first link.
Only problem here is he says "IF there are 10.5 million illegal aliens" then proceeds to give the variables. What the numbers of illegal aliens 10 mil, 12 mil, 15 mil 20 mil it seems all these have been used and posted before no one knows for sure what this number is.
Link 5 - Again a blog - "According to Julie Myers, head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement ("ICE"), around 10% of the total U.S. prison population are immigrants who could be deported (link)."

I will sum it up all again, I have asked you for your fifty one foot ladder link that you seemed to have stopped using. I have asked for anyone now including Henny 455 to Name me one crime (other than the act of crossing illegal) that an illegal can commit that a citizen can not commit.

Society has been a protected species since 1852, and there is no longer a hunting season open for it. Therefore, it seems likely that illegal immigrants do not hunt society, since they couldn't get the appropriate licenses, and anyway the society-caliber bullet is no longer manufactured so they couldn't bring one down even if they saw it.
