As an American citizen, does it bother you when illegals call you racist after they break the laws of the US?

Of course it does; it distracts others from the main issue of them breaking the law.
You are a legal immigrant and had to pay to be in this great nation; does it bother you that you had to pay much more then an illegal alien will if they get amnesty?

I am not a racist or a bigot no matter what some say. I do love the USA and am told I should follow and obey the laws( which I do) so I feel a slap in the face when those that don't are given a free ride past the very laws they broke!

It is irritating. The big marches they are so proud of actually galvanized Americans against them and our politicians are finally getting the word. At long last I think something is going to be done about the border and employers that give illegals jobs.

I find it humorous that they have the gaul to label us racist for objecting, but yet they want to label all Americans as rich, uncaring and selfish pigs. And they feel that since we are so horrible and racist, they can violate our laws and come into our nation and use our money, our medical advances, our education systems, and our job market, even though we are so racist.

I think it is their pathetic way of pushing the spotlight off of the real issue - criminal activity and punishment for it.

I'm not sure how this all became a purely "Hispanic" issue. The law says you can't come here illegally and remain here illegally. The color of a persons skin, their national origin or religion is irrelevant and a cop out for those who have no argument to justify the criminal actions of these illegal aliens, whether they come from Mexico or Dublin. Any yes, those of non Hispanic origin are just as guilty and wrong as those of Hispanic Origin. There just happens to be more of the Hispanics, although that should not factor into this debate at all. I'm not sure why these people feel so special and privileged. Its arrogance of the highest level. They have nothing to say from the second after their foot crossed the line illegally. We make the rules, we make the laws. Don't like it? Leave. As Americans, we gave an inch and they took a yard. Now they want to insult us? Illegals should have quit while they where ahead. Now the problem is they have pissed off the average American and that is a problem, as the failure of this new law shows. You have insulted us, took advantage and rather than say thank you, you bit the hand that fed you. Now you will feel the backlash...legally, of course!

It does not bother me, I just think it is stupid. Illegals are not a race. They can be from any country.

But the Mexicans automatically think you are talking about then, then they say 'racist.' And it is still stupid because Mexican is not a race. Mexican means that you are from Mexico. Hispanic is a race.

If all immigrants had your attitude we'd all get along. I've had friends like you, so I know you exist. But it's nice to be reminded now and then. Thanks.

As a legal alien & then naturalized US citizen, the only thing that irritates me is when an Illegal Alien says "don't call me a criminal, just because I broke the law" - like they're too stupid to understand that that is the definition of a criminal....it's someone who broke the law !

Not really, because I know you can't be a racist to a person who has broken your countries laws. I don't care if they come from china,Mexico,Africa, Jamaica,or Korea. We have laws come in the front door by way of a knock. If You are law abiding you will be welcome.

You are a citizen of the United States Of America, they are all Americans if from North or South America. There used to be a big scream from the left on the racist word but it been used so much it slowly losing it steam & they use it when there is nothing left for them 2 say.It' a catch all word. Except the Attorneys & ACLU.& other groups they use it a lot.Money maker. Just my thought.

Well I am an immigrant, I would not say illegal because I do have documentation that says who I am and where I am to be found if they need me. Which some Americans don't even have. I think it's sad and stupid because who the F* decided you belong on this land and you belong on that land? Now, my problem is I agree with America and they have rules and are organized and that is why they are not like Mexico, to name one, and that is why people want to come here. That is not a crime at all. Now, I also agree with you about the racist thing I dont think it's a question of racism I think its just Americans trying to protect their country, sometimes in the wrong way. I do not break the law and I abhore those who do whether they are immigrants, americans or whatever. I think what needs to happen is that there has to be stronger rules placed. Everyone who is coming in must get documented, fingerprinted, hey I even welcome dna gathering if it helps because if it will keep us safer and more organized then so be it. I think it's a small price to pay for being allowed in the country. I think though, that whatever they do to immigrants they should do to AMERICANS already here. DNA, fingerprinting and documentation for EVERYONE as well as citizenship tests. Why? Because how in the world do you ask immigrants to take a test on American culture, history etc. when their OWN AMERICANS don't even know their own culture or history hell most of my american classmates failed that subject ...our valedictorian was an immigrant, illegal so talk about Americans being fair and warming...not really and not all. I agree, you break a rule your out but what just immigrants and illegals? Why not everyone? Americans included? See it all opens up a whole pandoras box issue thing and that is what needs to be discussed thoroughly ....by bush and others who want AMerica to supposedly be the land of the free and blah blah fair rights etc. Now, see what you did? lol.
