How do you know those people in the bmw's etc are asylum seekers and not people who came here legitimately and worked hard? Have you spoken to them?
Do you know what's happening in any other part of the world except your narrow bit? What do you think life is like for asylum seekers? Have you lived in total grinding poverty and watched your child die from a tummy bug? Have you been separated from your family, never knowing if they are alive or dead? What do you think it might be like to live like that? Would you want to go somewhere safe?
Answer those questions, watch the news, think about what life is like for someone other than yourself. |

If it can't then perhaps you might stop bothering yourself about how all those drivers are asylum seekers. Even after years of detecting and arresting such people I can still count the number of really nice cars they've owned on the fingers of a mitten. |

just because they drive BMW's does not make them asylum seekers.where i work there are 14 Lithuanian workers and 3 of them drive BMW's but they turn up for work and work hard.they all share houses which are rented and they split the rent between them to cut down on costs.my boss hired local people but after 2 days they would go sick and leave or just leave and not say anything,so now he hires immigrants because they want to earn money.the majority of local people as far as i can see want to stay on benefits and do nothing but sign on once a fortnight.i am not a lover of immigrants but if it wasn't for them my work would be closing down and i would be signing on the dole as well.so to the Lithuanians thank you for saving my job and to those lazy sods on benefits i hope things will change soon and you get what's coming to you £ wise,(absolutely nothing). |

Some of them work hard. I mean they have never had the freedom we have here and they take every chance to work really hard. Sometimes we take things for granted.
But I agree...some of them have lots of money but lie to the government that they are in trouble and are able to get into USA.
Yes, it is very unfair that the government treats them better than our veterans...

easy realy, come into the country by the ''back door'', go down the social, sign on and hey presto, free health care, dentists, jump the hospital ques, a house even, there you go, done,,,,,,,, then invite the family over to do the same,,,,,,,,,,,,meanwhile some poor old English couple who worked all there lives from daylight to dark 6 days a week, raised 2 kids who have good jobs and raising children of there own to be good honest tax paying citizens get bugger all. I worked in the UK for 23 years in proberly the hardest industry in the UK and thats why I left the UK and trying to get my parents to sell up and take their money out the country too so they get to enjoy it rather than giving it to our government who in turn give it to wasters, cheats and god knows who or what else, believe me Brown will be worse than Bliar, sorry Blair for it. |

Immigrants make a huge sacrifice to come here - they do their best to make sure that it pays off, 99% through legitimate means; and their successes can benefit the country at large - they pay taxes, employ people, start new businesses - and give a good example of what can be done.
Asylum-seekers live in poverty and misery until their claims are decided. How do you know how a Mercedes/BMW driver is an asylum-seeker? Do you stop them to ask? Or do you think they just look like an asylum type - dark skinned, or something? They might even be born here! |

because the government gives them everything but thats still not enough, so they usually sign on somewhere else under different names. When I was a car park attendant there were loads of the f***ers usually from Africa who wailed that they couldnt afford the 70p for a pay and display ticket or the £30 for a PCN we had given them but they were driving around in nearly new subarus and BMWs and Mercs (probably without tax or insurance) |
