Please can anyone tell me how I can bring boyfriend to Australia from Somalia (Africa). I’m an Australian citizen, permanent resident. Should I apply for an Australian partner visa. Moreover, we plan to get married in 2months and our culture states that the girl should not be present at the ceremony, so there’s no point in me going to Somalia. Is this wise? What kind of evidence do they need to recognize the marriage? Furthermore, who should I contact in Australia to help me go through the process. Is a social worker any good?

Have you even read the aussie immigration website?
If you are getting married in Australia then both people MUST be present. That is AUSTRALIAN culture. You WILL need photos to show the immigration dept to prove the marriage is real.
If you want to get married inside Australia - that is one visa.
If you want to get married outside of aussie and she stays in somalia there is a different visa for that. |
