So my brother got together with this alien from guatemala early last year. He got her pregnant and they had a baby boy earlier this month. She stayed with my parents the first week out of the hospital and returned home yesterday morning. Apparently she doesn't trust my brother at all with the baby and won't let him do anything with him. She won't let him take the baby out of the house to see family and won't let him interact with the kid at all. She doesn't want him leaving the house because that means he "doesn't love the baby". They've had arguments about this and today she's saying she's gonna take the baby and leave.
I don't know if there are any rights my brother has over this alien or if there's anything we can do to keep the baby if she does happen to take off. Can she leave the country with him?

Sorry I don't have respect for her anymore. I never really trusted her to begin with and now this is happening. She doesn't trust anyone with the baby. We all drop everything we're doing to make sure she's comfortable and happy during her whole pregnancy and we're all there for her during the birth and this is how she repays us.
Illegal alien or not, we all as a family took her in and accepted her.
She only cares about herself and no one else (except maybe the baby now). She doesn't want whats best for the kid, but only what she wants to do at that minute.
I'll be the first to say my brother was an idiot for fooling around with her in the first place. But what can you do?
If she's serious about leaving (I doubt she'll leave the country) I just want to know what rights my brother has to his son, because I don't want to see my first nephew get taken away.

If the baby was born here, he is an American citizen and has rights as such. I don't have enough details to know whether your brother's girlfriend is simply afraid of being deported without her child, or whether she is simply mentally unstable. Either way, make sure this child has the proper documentation. I assume he has a birth certificate. Make sure he also has a passport so that if he leaves the country he can return. Your brother should consult his local congressional office. They generally have caseworkers who deal with these sorts of problems. They may be able to assist him establishing his rights as father of this child, and to help him get legal status for his girlfriend if that is what they want to do. |

I believe that she might be scare of getting deported and don't wanna leave her baby here...If you BROTHER Really wants to be with her and the Baby he should get a lawyer and help her fix her situation. |

he need's to get a attorny and fast she is the mother and he cant take the child from her but he has rights too and he needs to get them in place this will take a lot of money so have the family help him raise it. he will need the help with the money if he was ever in the military
they will help him and he has more right's that her if he has been it the military. Is his name on the birthcirtif that make's him the father even if the child was'nt his blood. he needs to find out address phone # and all he can about were she comes from even if it takes making a trip down there to make sure she is telling the truth he needs to know everything about her because if she goes back to were she is from and stays there he will be on his own to get his child back the law wont help him outside of the US. be a spy and get the info on her but if she tells you the info you have to check up on it she might lie.
i say he should put his foot down and let her know how its going to be (after he gets Info on were she's from) that he is the father of the baby and that he will be with his child and take his child places that she is welcome to come but she wont act like this any more.
she wants him to think that she has all the rights and he dose'nt.
If your brother is illegal i dont know what he can do but there are attty. that only do that kind of work for illegal's you need to find one if thats the case.
