Yes you can and I did. I included a copy of the divorce papers with the custody and child support order. I also included copy of the court ordered withholding document that showed where they garnished my husbands paycheck for the child support and copy of several check stubs from the child support checks I received over the last year. It does not show that you will be using the child support to support the immigrant. You have to show that you have enough money to support who you already have in the household (your children) and that your other money will go to support the immigrant. Good luck!

No, of course not. The child support money is intended to serve the needs of the child and not intended to support or service the needs of the whole family.The last thing you need is to imply that the funds are used inappropriately or that you are desperate to have the source of income look bigger by padding your income size. Wrong choice. Be careful.

No you are supposed to have SOLE custody of your child - which I assumes means that the father no longer pays any child support.

if you do not have SOLE CUSTODY then you may be denied entry to USA.
