CAN U.K VISITOR ON A 90 DAY U.S PERMIT VISIT MEXICO?

I need help please, I am currently visiting the USA on a 90 day no visa permit, the friends I'm staying with want to go to CANCUN, Mexico for 2 weeks, I am a national of the U.K with a U.K passport, do I have to surrender my 90 day permit if I visit Mexico? and will I be denied re-entry to the U.S to take my flight back home? I still have 2 months left on my 90 day permit in the U.S, if anyone can explain the process I will highly appreciate.

When you go to Cancun you just need your UK passport and need to file a MFTTV (Migration Form for Tourists, Transmigrants, Visiting Businesspersons, or Visiting Consultants), which is almost the same as your green Form I-94W which you had to fill in the airplane prior to your arrival at the Unites States. This Form I-94W will still authorize you to stay within the United States and to gain re-entry as long as it is still valid. The visit to Mexico however will not prolong your authorized number of days of stay in the United States and you should keep your Form I-94W when crossing the border to Mexico to be able to re-enter the United States.

VWP is NOT a permit AND yes you can visit Mexico within the 90 grace period, even Canada but that will NOT give you a whole new 90 day stay.
bring your ticket to Cancu with you and also your return ticket to go back to UK from U.S |
