Can F-1 students who already graduated and are now doing OPT enroll again for further studies?

I have an F-1 visa (graduated already) and am now doing my OPT. I would like to do an additional certificate at the same school after I finish my OPT, which would take about an additional 6 months of studies. My F-1 visa already expired (but I heard that's ok because you only need it to enter the U.S.). Can I get a new I-20 and do one more semester of studies at the same school without having to leave the U.S.?

Yes, you can. But you need to speak to the school's Foreign Students' officer as soon as possible so that they can complete the appropriate paperwork for a new I-20 and SEVIS related items. I'm assuming your I-94 has D/S (Duration of Status) stamped on it.
