Can F1 visa be changed to other visa types?

is there any possibility to change F1 visa to another one? and how much it costs?

You cannot change the actual visa document without leaving the U.S, but you can change your nonimmigrant classification inside the U.S. You can go from an F-1 to an H-1B or a J-1, for example.

Some F-1 students adjust status to permanent resident.

The actual visa is glued to a page in your passport, and no one can write something on it to change it from F-1 to something else, but your status can change to another visa classification.

If you do change or adjust status, you will not be able to use the F-1 visa to return. You'd need a new visa in the new classification to return.
