I've been a permanent resident for almost 3 years. I'm married to the same US citizen and would like to apply for naturalization. I was (or still am) a conditional resident because all I have received from USCIS was the receipt of my request to remove the conditions on my residency. I requested the removal of my conditional status on time but didn't get my green card yet. May I apply for citizenship if I don't have my new unconditional green card? I have the receipt to prove it is in progress and I've been a resident for 3 years.

It might be wise if you wait a little bit until perhaps you get an approval in your application to Remove Conditions.Processing time for that is not really that long and you are still within the time frame to apply for citizenship.

You are in a big problem, you should speak with an attorney and not posting it in "Yahoo Answers".

Maybe they didn't remove the conditions from your green card because they didn't belive the marriage is true and you had to go with your wife to a fraud interview and didn't because you didnt' get the letter because you changed an address or something?
Go to a good immigration attorey as quick as possible, the conditional green card is only valid for 2 years so you got no green card right now and you are in a big problem.
