Can I claim french nationality?.....?

My father an Indian,mother born in Pondicherry(union territory).now she is no more.Is there anyone who could help me in this regards...........

no .you take the nationality of the place where you were born .
if your mom was an indian citizen when you were born , then you cannot claim french nationality.
if your mom was born before pondicherry was returned to india and she chose to retain her french nationality, there is a slim chance .

I came to know from a TV channel, that lot of people who live in Pondicherry want to go France. And there are a no of lobbies in Pondicherry, who are cheating people promissing them the French citizenship. Since you belong to Pondy, you should also be known about the paper marriage. Please don't get into any trap. If you can get the French citizenship directly from the French embassy that would be better.

I personally prefer INDIA is the best country to live in.
