I currently live in the US as a student, and wanna convert from Islam to christianity...Since i came here 4 years ago, I read a lot of books about religion, at one point I became an athiest, then I started going to the church with my GF and decided to convert to christianity. I dont metion the reasons (Advantages and disadvantages of either religion ) that made me make this decision. Do you think it would be possible if I Can I file for asylum, would they accept, I am from a peaceful country in the middle east, and it would be a great sin if i do this according to them. The law over there is not as strict as some conservative countries, but still, its like a big shame socially, and my life could be in real danger.

OK so you do realize that if you were to convert to Christianity, Muslims would consider that punishable by death?
Nobody would believe you would change your faith for any other reason than you think it will help your chances to successfully remain in USA. In other words, nobody would believe you would deliberately risk your life to change religions. It's not Christianity you believe in. You believe in doing whatever it takes to get what you want-- goal being sanctuary in USA.
*Just a note here, in case you haven't heard, Christianity won't protect you when your Muslim enemies hunt you down and kill you in USA. They do it all the time. The US government is too afraid to protect you. |
