I was convicted of assaulting a police officer (!) in 2001. While it sounds like I'm a nasty piece of work, I was sentenced to the minimum number of hours of community service, and had no trouble with the police before or after that. However, I think that this is going to come back to haunt me, please could someone help me with this matter? Thanks in advance!

No country will take you if they know about your record, whether you choose to tell them is up to you, just dont get in any trouble while you are there. |

as far as i know there are no countries that will allow you a working permit if you have a criminal record |

A criminal records means you will most likely be denied entry to ANY and all countries you apply to - except your own. |
