Hello,
Can anyone tell me can I get positive assessment from TRA if I don't have work experience closely related to my nominated occupation?
I have diploma - certificate of electronic technician (radio-video) and If I want to apply for recognition as electronic equipment tradesperson (radio - TV repair), can I do it without work experience? Or, can it be similar experience (computer service, for example)? Anyone have experience?

I assume that you're nominating Electronic Equipment Tradesperson 4315-11 as your occupation. The job description for 4315-11 says "Maintains, adjusts and repairs radio and television receivers, and related audio and visual reproduction equipment such as tape recorders and video cassette recorders." and that relates directly to your diploma. You would be unlikely to get a positive skills assessment unless you're able to produce evidence of at least some experience related to your diploma in addition to experience on other electronic equipment such as computers. If you're prepared to risk the money for the TRA assessment, it's probably worth trying if you can dig up evidence of some experience in the radio-video line. Computers must come under the heading of 'electronic equipment' and these days, there is only a fine line between their technology and that of radio-TV-video.
