Can I go to Mexico or Canada to get my lost US visa replaced?

I lost my passport which had my US Visa inside it.
Do i need to go back to my home country to have my US visa replaced or is it possible to go to Canada or Mexico and have it replaced at the US consulates there?

Yes, if you wanted to replace your visa, you'd have to do so outside of the USA again. However, as long as you have your passport and I-94 (arrival and departure record), you may stay for the initial duration noted on that form without actually having to get a new visa.
