if I married in a different country(Vietnam) and have not divorce. Can I legally married again in united state. Or I have to go to divorce before I can married again?

My spouse in Vietnam already married some one else and i haven't see her for over five years.

In order to marry someone in the U.S., you must be single. If you are married to someone in Viet Nam, you are not single. You need to get a divorce from your spouse in order to be unmarried.
If you marry someone in the U.S., and you are not single, you could be prosecuted for bigamy, the criminal offense of marrying one person while still legally married to another.
Get a divorce first. Then marry. |

If you do not get a divorce,not only will your second marriage be invalid,you would have committed a crime. It is illegal in the US to be married to two people at the same time. |

LOL answer from death is funny LOL ...if I understood you, here is the answer: you can't remarry unless you divorce. However, you can remarry the same person, your current spouse in a different country. |

You must be Divorced from the first wife...
If not it is called Bigamy and you can go
to Jail for it...
If you don't have a "Green Card" you will
have to leave anyway...
Just because you Marry a US Citizen does not

How could your wife marry someone in Vietnam if you are not legally divorced??..what kind of crappy half S laws does Vietnam have?..How many husband can she marry in nam?-a dozen?..I know in Thailand my wife who wants to break our marriage (I am in U.S.a citizen-she is a Thai.) and by Thai laws she can not marry anyone else until I give her legal divorce...and that will not happen. |
