Hi,
I am an international student in the US and I will be staying on my campus during summer to work and to take classes.
I have a little sister who is 14 and I was wondering if I could invite her to spend the summer with me. I would teach her English and some other things about American culture during her stay. I will cover her room and board. She would come on a tourist visa I guess.
Do you think that It will be hard for her to get a visa? I am here on an Academic scholarship so I have no interest in smuggling her here to make her stay illegally , we also don't have any relatives in the US if that can help. She will just come to have a hand on experience of the American culture and to immerse herself in an English speaking community.
Any advice?

you cannot sponsor her but send her an invitation to come, she will have to apply for her own visa from her country,
the parents will have to apply for her, she is a minor,
as far as difficult or not? i cannot answer this. |
