Can a green card holder travel outside the united states for 2 weeks every 1month or two?

i live in the united states and go to school here.

yes you may travel as you mentioned on your question. You may travel as long as you do not stay outside the United States for more than six months in one year. Staying outside for more that one year may cause you to loose your green card.

No. If you are leaving that often your not really considered a resident. At some point you will be stopped by immigration.

i agree with the last answer. my grandparents are residents and they got stopped and questionned becaus they have been leaving too much. they almost took their green cards away. I think they do this because of drug trafficking more than anything....

if you make too many trips outside of Usa you MAY lose your GC because you are showing signs of abandoning the USA.

and 2 weeks every month is half the year which means 6 months per year.

you are supposed to LIVE and WORK in the USA permanently - that is why you have a green card.
