Yes. If you have an ITIN you will be able to open an account with any bank that takes a tax id for identification. A lot of banks only take SSN but for example, Bank of America takes ITIN numbers. You will probably have to provide the bank with two forms of id. |

I think you can but you have to pay taxes and report the income to the government. Go ask a bank they will know the answer. You dont have to tell them your name to ask the question. |

You shouldn't be able to, but I am sure that there are ways around that. You should probably open a bank account in Mexico instead and while you are at it, go back there and stay. |

Banks have very specific verifications that they have to go through every time they open an account. So, no. |

Don't listen to all these ignorant buffoons who probably don't even have a bank account (and they are legal citizens)....I have an account at bank of america, all they ask for is 2 or 3 forms of ID, i presented the mexican consulate card and my high school ID, they also need proof of address. School report cards or anything mailed to you by the state or big corporation will work. BUT you will need a tax ID number (TIN). Talk to an accountant or someone who does taxes and they will let you know how to get one. |
