Hi Danny, it should not affect your student status. I came to Canada as a student in 2003, got married in 2007, did not apply for PR through my husband because I thought my other PR application would be processed faster, and renewed my study permit in 2008.
The study permit renewal form just asks for your spouse's information, but as long as you have a valid reason for renewing your study permit and sufficient funding (I even showed my husband as financial support), your marital status should not matter.
I also renewed my TRV in 2008 as I was going out of Canada and my PR wasn't processed yet. The visa renewal went well - most probably because I met the valid study permit and other requirements. Hope that helps. Best of luck! |

of course !since your status will not be the same.you have to change it along with providing other papers to the bureau that hadles this,when you get info at the proper office as of what you need they´ll tell you. |
