Can employers defend illegal immigrants without getting in trouble?
|
In this situation a family of 5, the parents and 1 child were born in Mexico, 2 kids were born in America, the parents and one child have been here for 9 years. There was a raid on the work place and the mother was taken in, now she is being deported to Mexico. Is there any good defense the employer could use to keep the mother here to work without getting the company into trouble? Additional Details I know illegal immigrants have a bad rep but some of them (like this family) can be very good hard working people. We need their daughter to translate for meetings and the father pretty much manages the place, and the mother takes care of all medicine, don't tell people to get the hell out when you don't fully understand who you are talking about.

No,the employer has no good defense. He hired someone that isn't legally allowed to work in this country. There is no way he defend and say this person was holding a job that no American citizen can do. The employer should be looking at some charges himself for hiring someone illegally.
The family is here illegally and working here illegally. There is no good reason for them to stay. The excuses you use for them to stay are ridiculous. Does this mother have a license to handle medications? |

As a jobless American I feel I should be able to sue this employer for not hiring a citizen/legal resident. Damn, even Obama wants to reward the criminals. |

No. No and you might consider obeying the laws of the land before you do anything else. |

we do know fully who we are telling to get out, it does not matter that they are hard working, they are criminals and deserve deportation. they have been here 9 years and the father still does not speak English, way to assimilate. The employer needs prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, he has committed a felony by aiding and abetting an illegal and in this case a family of criminals. the employer does not have any say thankfully and can do nothing but watch our laws be enforced as they should. |

Sadly even if the employer tries to defend the immigrant he could be fined for having have help them which I find really stupid. Immigrants are just like us (They work to provide for their family, they make sure their families are taken care of, and work very hard at their job.) |
