i was born in Cambridge, England in 1990 but i am not a citizen of the country. if i apply now saying that it is my birth right to be a citizen, can i still get in?

no,as per the law,those who born before 1983 in this country,will get a UK passport.In ur case ur nationality depends on ur parents' nationality.
but if u r stayed in UK since 1983,there is a chance of getting UK passport. |

If you have or can get a UK birth certificate then you can get a UK passport.

You can make that argument but it won't wash because it would mean having to overturn legislation that is now older then you are & no EU court is going to overturn it because it would mean overturning the same law in almost every EU country.
Under current British nationality law, if you were born after January 1983 you can only British citizen if your parents were British, Irish, citizens of an EU country & can prove they were settled in the country at the time or were legally 'settled' (parents had Indefinite Leave to Remain).
If you have been living in the country for 10 years or more, legally, then you may be able to apply for citizenship by naturalisation but you need to contact the Home Office for more details. |

Youv'e probably got a good chance of becoming a UK citizen if youv'e been in the UK for a number of years. Its not your birthright to be a citizen though if your parents were not UK citizens, so I wouldn'y demand it, you'll get their backs up if you do that. Go to the citizens advice bureau (theres usually one in every town), or talk to th embassy they can probably advise you. Theres also the home office site http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/ which contains a lot of info. |
