me and my daughter are both on a years long tourist visa shes settled into a primary school which she really enjoys it there anything we can do to extend the length of time shes allowed to stay there?

I am presuming that you are on a tourist visa in the U.S. If so, here are a number of things that you can do. First, you can file an application to extend your status as a visitor. However, there must be legitimate reasons as to why you want to continue to stay in the U.S. You must demonstrate that you do not have immigrant intent.
Alternatively, you can file an application to change your status from a tourist to other type of nonimmigrant visa statuses. However, you will need to show that you are qualified for any such nonimmigrant visa. Which visa is applicable to your situation will depend on your nationality, your educational background, as well as your experience. Many of the visa statuses will require an application filed by an employer. Be sure to contact an experienced immigration attorney to assist you in making this determination.
Third, if you are qualified, an employer or a family member may sponsor your immigrant application so that you can become a permanent resident. Your employer or family member must file immigrant petitions, along with other documents, such as an application to adjust your status, if an immigrant application is available for you at this time. In addition, you would also need to file an application for work authorization and travel document, if necessary. As such, please contact the experienced U.S. Immigration Attorneys for assistance.
