in june 2007 my best friend left the uk to her home country-she had submitted her application for her visa late-now when she had reported her matter to the college she was attending,the director had advised her to take the case to a solicitor,even though it was written no appeal on the form-
so her never having been in trouble with the law,she listened to him as she trusted his words.she aplied to a solicitor who kept taking money from her and stating he could overthrow their decision,but never got any good news-
eventually after 3 months-he told her to leave and reapply from her home countrt..
now when she voluntarily went to some government offices,they served her with IS151A papers,but she basically paid for her ticket to return to her country..
when she got there,she applied to the embassy locally and had her visa rejected after two attempts..
is there anybody who could advise on wat necessary steps she could take?

oh yes-she was on a student visa by the way..so whilst she was making the appeal-they counted that as having overstayed the visa..

Could you clarify something? Did she have a student visa before she entered the country? In order to work or study in the UK you must have a visa before you enter the country, you can't apply for one once you're here
IS151A papers mean she had entered the country illegally & they were serving her notice to quit the country
If she's been rejected twice, they would have explained to her why she was rejected. If they were preparing to deport her from the UK, they won't let her back in legally any time soon
edit: It doesn't matter that your friend voluntarily quit the country, she had already overstayed & the papers she was served were more or less telling she was going to be deported. She needs to ask the Embassy why here applications have been rejected, ask them to explain the implications of the papers served on her while she was still in the UK & if there is a bar on her entering the UK again for a period of time - in the case of people who have been deported, I understand they can't enter the UK for another 10 years but she needs to ask the Embassy. |
