Can we do anything about our employer if he is not giving you promissed salary and can get your H1-visa cancelled.
They bought insurence for me without telling me that finally they are going to buy that and will deduct from my salary. I saw next month that they have deducted like $1000 from my salary. I never knew that they are going to deduct that from my salary. What can I do about it?
Can anyone tell me about problems given by their employers who have got your H1-processed and they know they can cancel it and that's why try to take benefit of it.
I am sick and tired of it and feel so helpless about this loss of $1000. It's not a small amount at all.
Can anyone tell me about legalities or just help is there any way I can get it back. Thought they have told me that they are not going to return it. I am so screwed cause of this...

You'd have to take it up with the Department of Labor, since they're the ones who are responsible for monitoring pay disputes. but checking over your contract first seems like a good idea. |

Read your work contract. All the answers should be in there as to what you did and did not agree to.
Be happy you have a job when so many American citizens do not. |

These folks are correct when they tell you they pulled you out of your country to avoid paying full wages to an American Citizen. I fully realize it is not your fault.. I hope you can see why they feel as they do. This country has a vast training ability.. anything and in almost all the states. They are pulling H1B workers into the Casinos to learn the technical skills of ... making a sandwich. So Americans are being abused right and left and our Government is not doing anything about it.
