Canadian Wanting To Move To USA.?

I am a Canadian and I would love to move to the USA when I am older to live with my boyfriend. I know that I need to live in the USA for a certain period of time with a green card.
How would I get a green card? Because every where I read I need a reason to get a certain green card. Ex: A green card for going to school in the USA. Or getting one for a job...and so on. But I just want to live there...so is there something I can get for that? I know I can become get American Citizenship if I marry my boyfriend but I don’t want to be married at a young age and just to become a citizen.
So what can I do? Is there anything else I need that I am not aware of that I did not mention?

To obtain green card, you need a sponsor who must petition you for green card, either immediate family member or US Employer.
If you do marry US Citizen boyfriend, then he has to petition you for green card. You live in US as green card holder for 3 or 5 years, then you will be eligible to apply for US Citizenship.
