Some of those crimes were horrible and if an american did them, they would probably get close to life. I think it is extremely unfair. I think that immagration laws need to be changed to where people have to speak english. If I went to another country, I would not expect them to accomidate me. But back on subject, yes it is unfair.

If that's the case and they aren't citizens yet .. send them back to their countries. Cut their visas or something. They should not be allowed to go unpunished. Where's the "fairness" (if you want to call it that) when an american citizen gets put away for the same crap ?

Nope, if the Government wanted to, they could find interpretors... it ain't like they don't have the funds to pay them. This is similiar to.. I don't agree with people being able to cry insanity when accused of a crime.

Where is your documentation for this assertion? I work within the legal system and have witnessed first hand various courts' efforts to ensure that defendants have interpreters. Nobody is going free because they can't speak English.
