They would better serve the US work force by bringing pressure on the governments of nations that fail to provide services and jobs to their own people, encouraging their people to leave and enter the US illegally at the burden of US citizens.
Our immigration laws should be fully enforced. Our southern neighbor fully enforces their tougher laws and deports more annually than we do.
No one in government should ever place the wants of illegal aliens above the needs of US citizens and legal immigrants, despite party affiliation. Amnesty brought by Kennedy and Reagan in 1986 failed to end illegal alien as it was proposed to do. The current problem is the direct result of it as it encouraged more to come expecting to receive amnesty.
Wage depression will continue, especially for blue-collar America if this influx of illegal aliens continues. |

In my experience, the democrats are anybody's party. Anybody that will get votes. |

No, Democrats support taxing hard working citizens so they can have programs to support the lazy and worthless. |

I'm Independent but have friends in both parties & I think my Dem. friends were the ones going ballistic first, don't get me wrong my Repub friends were pissed to, I personally don't have one friend from either side that supported Amnesty. We also joke around as to which one of us crashed the switch board. |

Liberals pander to unions, not the working man, and they are seeking to create a larger voting base, and nothing more. |

It funny how people show how small minded they really are. You really need to look at the bigger picture and not just what somebody tells you.
You also need to go ask old G Bush why he did not sign the textile bill back into law. Next goto your local mall and look at the clothing tags on the clothes, made in China. I don't know how many jobs we lost per day because of that crap. How many jobs are being outsourced to other countries for cheaper labor. We are left to bicker over the few remaining jobs left in this country.
I worked for a company called corning in Keller, Texas. That company has shipped everything they do accross the border and termed most of their employees.
Companies close the doors to the USA and declare bankruptcy. They then pay to have everthing moved to another country. If you dont think so, take a drive down are border and look across the way. You will see building lined up on the other side. |

Democrats rely on people who need government to take care of them. 20 million illegals will need government services to live, so of course they will vote for whoever will give them the free handouts. |

Reagan gave amensty to illegals, he was not a democrat.
The amenesty issue was also backed mostly by BUSH, not a democrat.
whatever legislation that exsist currently is a joke, as nothing will be done in earnest until after the elections.
Besides the issue of job loss should not only be focussed on the issue of immagration. but
the notion of job insecurity..a concept that was developed and promoted by the reagan admistration to have companies move jobs to other cheaper labour markets.
goods are made in china and we just ship them the raw goods.
why fight over cheap paying jobs that illegals take, why not fight for
a better paying job, remember the term blue collar.
middle class, working class.
fighting over cheap paying service sector jobs is smokescreen for a bigger issue. |

Democrats are not logical at all. If Amnesty were to be law, this country would be bankrupt. All services ( Social Security, Medicare,Welfare, etc) would be eligible to immigrants that aren't citizens.
That means all services would evaporate. Also, jobs for immigrants wages have been reduced way below a living wage, making employers rich, and the rest of us left with the crumbs. |

The illegal aliens are also workers. That's why they come to this country--even if they've done it through the wrong channels. They want to work.
Also, most of them take jobs that American workers aren't willing to do.
Hey, I'm not saying I wholly support amnesty. But those are two reasons. |

The Democrats also claim to be the party that is for blacks, yet it was Democrats that authored and passed the laws making slavery legal in the United States, it was Democrats that started the klan, it was Democrats that authored and passed the Jim Crow laws, it was Democrats that opposed and voted against civil rights, it was Democrats that had secret/illegal wire taps on Dr. King. |

No. The socialist and communist parties are the workers parties.
Democrats want the votes and Republicans want the cheap labor. |

20 million, Wow! And to think that just 2 or 3 months ago
there were only 10 to 12 million. That was before the GOP
voted down the wall. I guess they needed more cheep labor.
Who counted the other 8 million while they were sneaking in? |

Because if they do that they gain the favor of the latin community and if you think about it the latin community is freaking huge now in America. |

The Democrats have had their political foot planted on the back of the working man for the last 60 years. When you listen to the candidates for President, every one of them are running on a platform of raising taxes. |

In response to immigration I have two things to say. First we need immigrants to come here and work. We do not have a large enough work force to fill the jobs available. Second, as long as the United States is a better place to live than where they come from, immigrants will come to the U.S. It is irrelevant if they come here legally or illegally, they are going to come. We need to focus on how to simplify the problem of coming here. I have an employee that spends his vacations in Canada because his wife is Canadian, her visa ran out, and two years later she can't get a permanent visa. Our super strict laws are tearing his family apart. I don't care if you are a democrat or a republican, we need to fix this problem somehow. |
