Did not get an alien registration number?

I am currently on H1-b visa but got married to an american citizen last year and just received my notice of approval ( form I-797) for the petition ( form I-130 was approved yesterday)
I thought the alien registration number will be on the notice of approval, It wasnt!
so where do i get it from so i can file for adjustment of status?
I know i can file without it but it is mentioned that once I-130 is approved i get an A number assigned to me case

i would call uscis:

1-800-375-5283 (TTY 1-800-767-1833)

i got that number off their home page. you can check your case there, too.

call them and have your receipt number ready. it may take a while till you get through to someone but stay with it. if you don't get a good answer the first time, call again. usually they are pretty good with their customer service. even if they can't tell you your A# they will be able to tell you what to do next.

sorry, there are A LOT of trolls around in the immigrations section of yahoo answers! don't mind them. they can make you really mad....

good luck with the whole uscis stuff! i just filled for my condition to be removed off my residency (after 2 years of marriage...). i'm waiting patiently for a letter...
