That is where the Indians messed up....they should have hired the pilgrims to build them descent teepees, for almost nothing... |

I guess. Maybe some American Indians would argue other wise. |

You probably were giggling while you typed that. It wasn't America yet. |

I don't think there was a system of immigration before, so probably not. Then again, you don't see the Native Americans back then getting their government to kick them out. Even though the Native Americans were there first, they didn't really have political systems, or were considered "civilized". |

I see you

Good query.....I didn't, I wuz born in the USA, but that don't mean the earth belongs to me ( it will be here when we are all gone). |

No, the Native Americans who lived did not have an immigration system in place. (Do you think they have any regrets?)
Since they did not recognize a concept of land ownership, they did not assume they *owned* North America.
Plus, they didn't have as many lawyers, either. |

The Indians, had no clue what was about to hit them, somehow one of my relatives pro-created with them. I don't know but I get paid monthly. Legally ? Indians are extremely peaceful. Be very careful on this one |

Their were no laws or government back then, America is ours get over it. We named it and built it. |

The Indians welcomed them and taught them how to grow corn.
Bad decision.
However, it is a non-issue. It has no relevance to today. |

Renegade. AMERICAN NATIVE!

O.K., "Indians" are from the country known as India, Pilgrims were religious refugees escaping england in order to find a home where they could be free to practice their religion. Pilgrims landed on the eastern coast of North America in the 1400's. The Nation currently known as The United States of America became a soveriegn nation in 1776.
Your ignorance has been rectified, You are welcome for the FREE AMERICAN education, dont forget to vote! LONG LIVE AMERICA! |

Yes. The natives had no laws against it. |

At that time I think there was no immigration laws.European pilgrims entered America and called themselves as inventors. This earth was created by our God Almighty for all of us to live and we can migrate from one island or from one continent to others as we like it.In modern society then the rulers in those islands or part of a continent made immigration laws and regulations as a procedures which should be followed by someone who wants to move in order to maintain an orderly manner. and for security reason. |

America as a country didn't exist then, but you'll get lots of answers from people insulting you on this one. |

Yeah because there weren't any laws about immigration back then. |

Yes. Based on European law, this land was legally claimed by Britain....and since the Indians had no notion of land ownership, anyone can enter any land they wanted. |
|

FrogDog

Good question. I think the indians did not write and enact anti-immigration laws, but wished they had. They were a little late. By the time they figured it all out they were already done for.
The Pilgrims were legal. |

Let's keep it fresh - say within a century or two, OK? But since you asked - there was not an established border that they crossed, soooooooooo..... yep! |

Yes they did, in the context of those times. The Indians being Immigrants from Asia themselves, had may not have had a case for Immigration laws at that time. |

The Indians may have not wrote any laws on immigration. But the people still killed the Indians and stole the land.Sounds a bit like what we call terrorist. So it was OK that they killed and stole the land right. You can't take a wrong and make it right any way you try. |
