Yes they gained 2 things, they stopped the bill from being passed that would have made them felons, and they gained the attention and outrage of the American people we found out they don't want our flag, language, or culture.

They gained more intolerance and more disapproval from Americans here. They gained more distrust from us because they showed that they do not wish to assimilate, instead flying a flag that should NOT ever be flown here in this country. They gained a lot of anger because until they made fools of themselves that day, decent people here didn't know just how much they disrespected this country and the good people here. They gained a lot, none of it good though. It backfired bigtime.

They got a huge backlash. They should keep a low profile now. Once people saw how many illegals there are, they got very angry.

At my school, the Mexicans who took their kids out of school to protest received unexcused absences. Then the kids were not allowed to participate in the perfect attendance awards that we had.

I hope they didn't gain anything, since i am willing to be that alot of those protestors were illegal immigrants, something people seem to keep forgetting about is that one word in "illegal immigrant" ILLEGAL, these people are breaking the law plain and simple and if they were protesting they were AGAIN breaking the law. "but we have the right to protest and rally" you say? if you are an american citizen YES the constitution grants you that right, but ILLEGAL immigrants are NOT american citizens and therefore are NOT entitled to the rights provided by the constitution in this country.

i think they only gained public awareness. That boycott did not put a dent in our economy here and it was a great day for the rest of us to go shopping without all the illegals crowding the isles and acting rude and looking and young women and old like prime rib.
