Parents are responsible for their children. If the parents are illegal immigrants - so are their children. We should not give them jobs and not pay for anything but a bus ticket home.
If and when these people want to be a part of this country "legally", they need to follow the procedures that all immigrants have to follow to gain citizenship.
Working and paying taxes is part of being a citizen in the US. Many American citizens can't afford health care, why is it even thought of being "given" to illegal immigrants? Take care of the citizens of this country. |

Sadly, they will help the children of illegals but don't do anything much for the American children. The children of American citizens need more help with education aid, medical aid and housing. Wake up California there are a lot of kids, whose parents are here legally, who need your help |

I don't agree. The parents should not put their children in the situation in the first place. Just because we feel sorry for them because they are Innocent children we can't support everyone.
The proposal also covers illegal adults it is not only the children he is trying to give medical to. |

That's not right... But I don't kow where I stand on anchor babies... They WERE born here, but the only reason their parents come here is because they know their children will get benefits... I think they shouldn't be allowed certain things until a certain age, so less people will come... |

If the parents are illegal then they are either paying no tax or too little of tax to cover the cost of insuring the kids. Now if you get more and more people doing this, who will pay for it??? |

No it's not right. No, the kids didn't have anything to do with what their parents did, neither do American kids who's parents make bad decisions. But, the kids have to live with the parents and survive on their income in the life their parents provide. Those people should PAY for their insurance like everyone else. Or, they should provide low cost or free health care to ALL Amercans.
When will America wake up and realize we should NOT pay Federal Income taxes? If we ALL refuse to pay those taxes they will start listening to us and start enforcing our laws on illegal aliens. I'm not paying them anymore. I've had enough of their abuse. |

Totally outrageous. The insurance is for "all" children and would include illegals. What that means is once again the taxpayer will get stuck with the bill as the illegals will claim poverty.
This is just another example of how our own government ignores the law. It is ILLEGAL to offer inducements to illegal aliens.
The children born to illegal alien mothers are immediately eligible for Aid To Families With Dependent Children - AFDC. Illegal alien mothers can and do receive even $2,000 a month in benefits - it depends upon how many US citizen children she has spawned.
San Diego has tried to force these illegal alien mothers to perform some kind of work to get this money. The illegal's present Modus Operandi is to have the checks mailed to a US Post Office box at the border and have someone collect the checks for them.
The City of San Diego government has discovered that trying to make these illegals work for their $2,000 a month is a federal crime! It is a federal crime to hire an illegal alien - so making these illegal aliens work for their welfare money is thus - illegal.
Somehow offering them medical insurance is OK? |

they can eat ca-ca- right. We have our own poor that are struggling
and have no health insurance.
I believe children are a priority but we have our own to feed,
give shelter to, give proper health care. Why not try visiting
the shelters to seek the truth. |

No. This isn't right. Hubby and I pay for our own health insurance and in taxes for others. I don't have a problem with that for legal citizens. I do however have a problem with providing even MORE freebies for criminals. |

I have noticed an odd thing. A tuberculosis bacillus does not know whether the lung it is in is documented or not. And it does not care whether it goes to a lung which is documented or not. The same seems to be true of other viruses, germs, and parasitic diseases. So, thank you very much, but I would like to have anybody who might have such conditions (child or adult) have diagnosis and treatment available whether they can pay for it or not, not particularly to benefit them, but to protect me and my family.

I suggest we all junk our citizenship, dump any businesses we might own that could possibly create jobs for others, develop an underground economy so the state won't be able to steal our money, and then we'll all get free insurance for our kids, too.
All we have to do is promise to vote for the liberal establishment.
And then maybe the State will provide programs to teach us the Spanish langauge so we'll be ready for the coming economy. |

Yes, I have heard about this, and it really aggravates me to see such a hostility toward those kids who have done NOTHING wrong. I think it is unfair for people to take out their anger on the kids, and it really doesn't make any sense to me. People must also understand that the majority of those kids are citizens of the United States, whether they like it or not, and whether they think that is right or not is a whole different story.
