Yes I did see that. There is a silver lining to this recession and its that the illegal alien criminals who have been leeching off of us are finding less opportunities to do so.....and they are packing up and going home.
Better late than never--but they have done irreparable harm in the meantime. |

Your question is a very grown-up, mature one. :-)
The economy will affect immigration, and how many immigrants remain in the United States. However, as long as there continues to be better opportunities in the US than in an immigrant's home country in terms of availability and pay, we will always have immigrants. Yes, some of them will be illegal. A downturn in the economy will not solve or eliminate the problem. Even if it did, it would not be a good option to use to combat illegal immigration because it would mean we'd all suffer the poor economy on a prolonged basis. |
