I am tierd of everything and all the BS that my husband has put me through. I've got paperwork from women's shelters,and police reports.
My husband is selfish and "slick"
I have been on my own in the US for a while now,my husband has BEEN abandoned me.
I would just like to know my rights as a abandoned wife and a victime of domestic violence?
I AM LEGAL IN THE USA,but do still have paperwork in process.

For the time being, you are legal and if you were married for at least five years*, you can stay indefinitely. The state's divorce laws apply to you the same as anybody else there.
* Most military people know this due to the high rate of divorces between Korean women and soldiers after five years. Used to happen in the Philippines and Thailand a lot too. |

It depends on your current status. What is your status? Are you a conditional green card holder or your green card paperwork is in progress? What visa do you have in that case?
If what you are saying is true, of course, you have the right to stay in case you have a conditional green card and you can prove you entered the marriage in good faith but by simply overstaying your visa, you won't be able to stay in the US. |
