Do Illegal Aliens have a right to work in the USA?

Does a stranger have the right to come in your house and live there? Would that stranger have a right to eat your food, sleep in your bed, and expect you to take care of them when they grow old?

It's not a right, it's a courtesy. The US is in debt up to our eyebrows and we have so many problems we cannot afford to support millions of citizens who don't pay taxes and would be a burden on the economy.

I think when they are having their protest we should send the INS out there to check every ones status. Those that are legal may continue their protest unmolested. Those that are not may get on the bus and head back home.

They have benefited from us for to long. It's time for them to liquidate and go home. Apply the right way. They should have no rights to jobs, welfare, etc. I thought they were hiding in the shadows, not hiding if they're on the 6:00 news.

No! If they did the businesses would be able to freely hire them without penalties, and backlash from the Federal Immigration Laws.

I hear they are planning to sue businesses who are firing them because of un-matched SS#. I say let them sue. Then we'll use Mexico's Immigration Laws to see if they allow illegals in their country the right to work.

How can it be discrimination when USA Federal Immigration Laws specifically say that it is illegal to hire someone who is illegal? Do they need a copy of those laws?

"Any person who . . . encourages or induces an alien to . . . reside . . . knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such . . . residence is . . . in violation of law, shall be punished as provided . . . for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs . . . fined under title 18 . . . imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both."

Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):

A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or

* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or

* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions

Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.

legally yes, illegally no, ultimately...yes or else they'd leave. there are usually ways around it and lets face it, they're doing what no other american would do(at least until someone else in another country is willing to work for even less).

Actually no but they`ve been doing so much of it for so long, it`s an ingrained part of our society. Try to operate an argicultural enterprise in the SouthWest or even the Midwest and see how far you get without lots of "*******" labor. Where else will the labor come from? Maybe from our colleges and universities, ya right.So we can just let our crops rot in the fields and import all our food from China, South America, Africa. Also, we all like to eat beef and pork but middle and upper class parents don`t say "son you should try to get a job in a packing house".

but you made me bring up another question. why don't people take jobs they know illegals are doing, if you say you can "do the jobs illegals do," they go take it, don't sit back and cry about it (not you).

Theoretically No, but millions do because they can. No other human "citizens" will do the labor such as farm hands, digging up trees, mowing, planting, etc... So there is the argument. Since they now do the work, and have for many years, why don't we make it legal?
