I came here with a K1 visa..got married etc., i applied for my status change and EAD, i have my biometrics on the 5th of may, i just want to know if i have any restrictions when it comes to getting a job and how long does it usualy take after he biometrics to get the EAD , thank you !

As an alien who entered with a K-1 visa, you are entitled to an EAD card which you can use to work for any employer who wants to hire you. There are no restrictions on your employment based upon your classification.
The same is true for the second EAD card that you will receive based upon your application for adjustment of status. You can work at any type of employment.
As for how long it takes after the biometrics, presumably 90 days, but don't rush out to your mailbox on the 90th day. |
