im travelling to canada soon from australia and was wondering if i needed a visa to visit. i will only be there for about 5-6 weeks.

If you are a tourist you do not need a visa.

Australia - tourist - you are JUST visiting - then NO you can use the Visa waiver program (VWP) as long as you do not abuse it.

no you don't need a visa to visit for up to 6 months (you can not work though)
