Depends where they are. If they were in places like New York City, then the answer is "yes". If they are in the the Southwest or Deep South, the answers is probably "no", but those places do have many people with kind hearts and a good sense of right & wrong in treating other human beings.

No, of course not, because an illegal Mexican is illegal, but a Canadian immigrant is legal. However, a Mexican immigrant would also be legal. Did you just word your question wrong, or what? If you meant, "Do illegal Mexicans get treated the same as illegal Canadians?" then my answer would be, Yes, of course, because all illegal immigrants are treated the same. However, there are likely only a minuscule number of illegal Canadian immigrants in the USA because they don't have any incentive, really, to come to the USA illegally, being that the economy of Canada is as good as, if not better, than the economy of the USA. About the only reason I can see for a Canadian to go to the USA illegally would be to try to escape a legal conviction in Canada or because they have a criminal record in Canada and yet have fallen in love with a US citizen and so see no way that they can ever legally come to the USA, so they go illegally. That might be, what, maybe a handful a year? As opposed to hundreds of thousands of illegal Mexicans,Central Americans, and other illegal immigrants in the USA per year? On the other hand, Canada also sees about the same number, if not more, of illegal US immigrants into Canada as illegal Canadians into the US. Canada used to get a lot of US draft dodgers and even now gets the US military drop-outs (sorry, the word escapes me at the moment) and there are also the US citizens who come to Canada illegally to be with someone they have fallen in love with and also those who are trying to escape legal conviction in the US.

So, it's really about like comparing apples to oranges.

Of course not. I am sure, however, that after asking this question you will get alot of answers from SOME anti-illegal immigration sympathizers suggesting otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I am not for illegal immigration at all--everyone should follow the rules in my opinion. Nevertheless, I can spot the slightest hint of favoritism and/or discrimination. (Let's just say it's a sixth sense I possess...) By the way, I'm assuming that you're speaking of an illegal Canadian in the U.S.?

Yes, illegal is illegal. It isn't just Mexicans that come here illegally. As far as the law is concerned, anyone here without proper documentation is illegal.

An illegal Canadian immigrant? I would think so, if in both cases everyone knew both were illegal. However, many fewer Canadians are illegal, so it may be that fewer would suspect a Canadian of being illegal. Likely that would impact how they were treated.

However, if it were a FRENCH Canadian, I must admit he might be treated worse. The illegal issue aside, we actually LIKE Mexicans.

Well I haven't heard of any illegal Canadian immigrants. What so many people don't understand is that we DO NOT have a problem with Mexicans becoming American citizens, IF they come here legally. My family came legally as did millions of others so why should these Mexicans be any different?
