By FEDERAL LAW,anyone who goes to an e.r. MUST be treated,whether they can pay or NOT!!!! And, with the ILLEGALS, they NEVER pay,so the cost gets passed on to the TAXPAYERS!!!!!
I was just reading in today's Arizona Republic,that 46% (almost HALF) of the people ABUSING our e.r.'s are for NONemergency treatment!!! Makes me WONDER if the MAJORITY of them aren't all ILLEGALS!!!!! The illegals KNOW that if they go to the e.r, they will NOT be turned away for NOT having insurance!!!! |

As I seen a posted law on a hospital once. It read that no woman in labor would be turned away from getting care because she could not pay, did not have insurance or legal status. If you complain that they might get free medical care, then do something more productive than complain in Y! A!. If this is a bigger issue than trying to get affordable health care to the millions of Americans that cannot afford it because of Privatization, then you are living in a delusional world. |

Today, Dean/DNC offered amnesty to all illegals should the Dems gain control of congress. Would you vote for someone who would do that?

They can not turn anyone away from an Emergency Room.They are treated only by their medical problem.if you give false information as to where to be billed and you are not a legal citizen,then no matter how much the hospital room trys it can not collect the money owed to them for treatment.The person who is legal gives his/her information and it has many ways to track that legal person down,SS#,Drivers licenses,work Id etc.The legal can be found and sued in court and his /her wages garnisheed. The illegal cant be found..So in essence the illegal has obtained free medical care. |
