NO THEY DO NOT! What do they do for us? They do NOTHING positive for us. They're the reason why tax keeps getting raised, we have to pay extra because of THEM. They're taking jobs that people in poverty need.

Different answers for diff. people.But I do resent that many of them freeload off of our taxes and and have more rights than hard working AMERICANS.Don't get me wrong,we all are different nationalities,but just look at health care for our elderly who worked all their lives and now can't even get all their medications yet immig.get medicade,food stamps,utilities paid and many other benefits not available to us.Somethings not right.

I mean, they deserve to not be killed for no reason, or they should be given emergency treatment (a cold is not emergency treatment), but they shouldn't be given gov't handouts, or citizenship just because they're here. I live in southern california, so this is a topic that is very very relevant to me, and it angers me when people are sympathetic toward these law breakers. I feel sorry that they are poor, but it is not the US's job to care for all the poor people in the world.

Our constitution is based on the idea that all men are endowed with certain rights by a creator, not a government. So yes, basic human rights such as religeon and the right to an attourney when they get busted for being here.

All Americans are somewhat "illegal immigrants". This is because only the native American can truly lay claim to this country. However, since we are all in this "melting pot" together, we should never forget the spiritual and physical hardships our forefathers endured to get her. Some of us came to these shores by boat, some by raft, some by slave ship, some by the border, but we are all products of God's grace; we have all made significant sacrifices and contributions to America. Never forget that for so many, this country is still viewed as a beacon of hope and a land of opportunity. In a world that is becoming increasingly dark, America still offers a ray of light. And for that reason alone, everyone and (anyone) who makes it to these humbled shores deserves the "right" to be treated with human respect and human decency.

If they want rights, then they need to take steps to become legal citizens. Just because they are here doesn't mean that the American People owe them anything. Everything that we get as Citizens, we have to earn. So, if illegal immigrants want things, then they need to become legal and earn them just like the rest of us.

Big Red -- I too worked for the state and for a contract provider for the state. While I am a firm believer in helping people, there have to be some realistic limits. How are we supposed to pay for the services all of these illegal immigrants need, when we can't even help the people that are here legally? I think after you have worked in the system, you have a more realistic viewpoint of how things are...

DMV Question -- With the low wages the illegal immigrant's are earning, they can not afford car insurance. Personal experience taught me this...an illegal immigrant with a driver's license and no insurance rammed me. My insurance company ended up paying for it. Is that what you want? Your insurance to cover all of their accidents? For your insurance premium to increase to cover the illegal immigrants? My insurance is high enough, I do not want to pay for someone else.

As far as the illegal immigrant issue, we have a system in place for immigrants to be in the U.S. legally. They should follow that.

And, if they want to be a U.S. citizen, they should speak English and carry the U.S. flag!

All HUMANS deserve certain rights. However, a government can only handle only so many people. As a nation may grow there may be need to initiate certain branches of government to cope with it's population. Our government depends on our support. When we dilute ourselves by allowing undocumented persons access and entry into our country the natural and naturalized enhabitants suffer.

While ALL people have the right to life and the pursuit thereof, no nation can survive without the support of it's own people. America already has a heavy burden because of welfare. Too many people live to be on welfare which creates a heavy burden. To top it off, some of that burden works "under the table" and not only receives free aid but also benifits by bringing in an UNTAXED income and takes away available jobs from our citizens. THAT'S JUST NOT FAIR TO ME OR MY FAMILY. NOR YOU OR YOURS. It also lowers the wage base, something for which we ALL suffer.

There is a proper channel for comming into the US. If it is abided by then the immigrants can benifit by our constitution. However, our own criminals loose many rights when convicted. Illegal is Illegal. Aside from the most basic of Human Rights, anyone breaking the law do not deserve more than the basics.

Just because a person is inside US teritory does not give them the right, nor should such actions be condoned, to autonmatically be given them rights as an American.

Governor Schwartzenegar (Calif) briefly concidered issuing drivers licenses to undocumeted workers (Illegal Immigrants) but the people of CA opposed that.

In short, if someone wants in let them do it the right way. Many have before them, there's no reason they themselves can not do the same. Unless they are looking for a free handout.

Why is it that every damn thing anyone from that side of the issue say's is pure lies and propaganda? For instance the numbers aren't 11 million illegals. It is 20 mill+ at all census sites. A mathmatician did the estimate today on our website and with their children he estimates 50 million ILLEGALS here. More than 1,500 pooring in daily from southern boarders. Once legalized they have the right to bring family members here. Rough estimate of 2 family per person brought here within a 1 year period makes the population skyrocket to 150 million derived directly from all the ILLEGALS present today.

That would be 150 million people who begin citizenship as criminals. 150 million who have no regard, loyalty or commitment to this country or to the citizens who already reside here. In one year.

I will let you answer that question for yourself. I know what my answer to it is. I would rather put a mad rush on application world wide and bring 150 million of those citizens who have been waiting, into our country legaly.

Than to cave into a criminal mob who burns our flag, raises their own and demands the rights and priveldges of this country, that they have absolutely no respect for.

The reason that we have immigration limits is based on our economy and job soruces to not only provide for them but to obsorb them in a way that does NOT negatively effect the Citizens of this country. With the mass Migration that has and still is taking place on our southern boarders as well as the Legal immigrants given permission to come here yearly, we have no hopes to abosorb these numbers without negative effects. To demand American citizens to sacrafice more of themselves, their taxes, jobs, medical institutions and rights. At a time when our economy is already dicey at best is not only irresponsible but down right negligent.
When this boat sinks people, the Illegals go down and so do we.

This is not racist, evil, or inhuman. This is just pure raw fact. Our economy will not survive the numbers we are talking about. And is in great distress at this time because of it.

So if you want to ignore the Illegalness of the issues, the anti American sentiments being expressed at marches, and in our own neighborhoods from people who do not have respect or commitement to this country you can. But you will not be able to ignore the waters of poverty, joblessness, soring crime rates, soring population growths, desinagrating educational systems, desinagrating health care, desinagrating social security programs as they fill your lungs and drown you.

And if you think the Illegal problem stops there your kidding yourself. Millions more will follow in their foot steps. Choosing to enter ILLEGAL and remain ILLEGAL knowing they can continue to do so.

ILLEGAL immigrants do not pay taxes unless they have false documents and have indulged in Idenity theift. Those who indulge in ID theift work at such low wages that they get full income tax returns back. Often more with earned income credits. Dispel the lies and propaganda people.
