I read somewhere in the news that the police are not supposed to ask for legal status.
They hang out at those places because people actually pick them up.
Anyways, they are not like Jehova Witnesses or Mormons. They don't bother you. |

I think the police have more important things to do like responding to calls of REAL crime!OH and btw I have never seen illegals hanging around the home depot where I live,as a matter of fact I don't see them hanging around any stores.Maybe that's because they are all working and have lives,unlike the people who seem to notice these things! |

In Phoenix, Arizona, they hang out at both, but less at Lowe's. And the police don't bother them because they aren't doing anything wrong, except not being a citizen.
That is, unless there is a "no loitering" sign at the front of the lot where they hang. Actually, there have been neighborhoods that pressure the local businesses to put the signs out where the illegals hang out. It seems to take care of the problem. I figured they put the sign out, and every time a bunch of mexicans starts to loiter, a cop comes by and tells them to move on. |

In my town they used to hang out at Home Depot, but people made their lives miserable by harassing the contractors, not the illegals, THE CONTRACTORS that came to pick them up. It seems the contractors didn't like having their pictures taken.
The illegals come and go. The contractors are local, they have to live here. |
