is the essential first step in immigration reform? What is the value of anything else we might/might not do in terms of those illegal here if we don't STOP the inbound flow? wouldn't that be a better position to start from?

any president could stop it with one phone call [to the joint chiefs]. No one has had the will to use national guard/regular duty troops. we could have personnel shoulder to shoulder, 7/24 if the president made one phone call. |

Nothing will ever stop it 100%, but we need to secure the boarder with our National Guard and other federal resources. If you can slow it down then start weeding out the illegals over a couple of years that will be the key to getting American benefits back to Americans. |

The President of Mexico, of all people, agrees with the idea of secure borders. The only people against it are the liberals. The idea of drug smuggling, killing and kidnapping of american citizens, increased costs, don't seem to bother them. Why do you think California is in ruins?
