sure they do.They whine all the time about how fake or stolen documents do not have an investment return. Just like they get free medical care, welfare, food stamps, public housing, whats a little document fraud between friends ? |

No, for a number of reasons.
Even though the system is set up so that the money should somehow go back to the person who put it in, and that's the "fair" way of doing things, there's problems with this.
1. Although some illegal aliens who pay SS taxes do in fact file income tax returns, many do not. The government keeping the SS taxes is one way to help ensure illegal aliens contribute to the US treasury.
2. If the documents used to route the SS taxes are false in the first place, there is no reasonable way to be sure of what money goes to which person.
3. There are many other arguments relating to the legality of working in the first place, etc. However these arguments are not directly related to the question of SS distribution, since SS is not an immigration program of any kind. |
