Really - on what do you base that assumption - I've been to all the countries you have mentioned and have found the people very nice and pleasant - especially the Greeks and Portuguese! They like the English but hate Germans!

Have you actually been to Spain, Portugal and Greece? Are you English? What makes you think that? Have you actually spoken to all Spanish, Portugese and Greek people? I think personally that you havent got a clue what your talking about!
Addition:- Oh okay, so you have a Spanish mate then that means you can speak for all Spanish, Portugese and Greeks? Ha ha ha ha

Do you think so? What is your opinion based on? I am British and live in Greece, without the British we would be in a lot of trouble here as the island I live depends solely on Tourism. I have met some locals who don't like foreigners, but they are very few and far between, just as they are in the UK. It;s true that the happy, smiling faces are sometimes put on for the tourists, but many people are genuinely that way and love the Brits along with every other nation that come here on holiday.
They don't hate the Germans either, well not ion Greece anyway. the only time that the locals get a little peeved is when drunken idiots trash the place, but isn't that the case anywhere in the world, regardless of your nationality?
Where are you from? There are plenty of Spanish, Portuguese and Greek people in the UK, they are not hated, why is it so wrong for Brits to live abroad? It's OK for every other nation to come to the UK. I've met a lot of Greek people I don't like, but then again, I've met a lot a British people I don't like too!! Good and bad everywhere

I have been welcomed with open arms to Spain, and go out regularly with a mixed bunch of Brits, other northern europeans and Spaniards.
You may be detested by them, but I'm certainly not. |

What a gross and completely untrue over-generalisation. I've lived in Spain since 1993, am married to a Spanish woman and have a Spanish daughter, and have travelled extensively throughout Portugal, Italy, Greece and Turkey. I think that qualifies me to tell you that you don't have a clue what you're talking about. In fact I've come across much more nationalistic bigotry in Britain than in any of these places. Questions like yours only stir up the ugliness that is racism. You should be ashamed of yourself! I am still considering reporting you for inciting racial hatred. Small-brain! |

I really don't know how to answer this, I am English, lived in Spain now for 25 years, my hubby is Spanish, am I hated I think not, depends how you treat the locals...................treat THEM as aliens you get no place remember that! BUT always remember also, its their country, not like in the UK - the immigrants have arrived and they have taken over........England is no longer for the English but for any damn fool waving passports of any kind!!! (that is if they have one!!) |

Having lived, worked.and played with the Germans for 20 years i know they have a great affection for the British. Probably because our ancestors were Germanic and we have a German Royal Family, and now i know why i take my holidays in Germany and NOT Spain. Portugal, or Greece. |

do the Spanish. portages,Greeks know that the British just go there to behave badly as it is acceptable in their country because of their low standared of life. lack of sanitation death hotels ,and bull fighting, they detest us because they carnt live up to our standards. but besides that.
