They live in a totally different continent. I don't believe they hate them. They can't be purely "Spanish", because Spain is made up of different ethnicities too -- Just like all of Latin America, not just Aztec bloodlines with Spanish dialect. It's like saying, "Do the English hate Americans in the U.S.?".

I don't know about the Spanish. But, I have known many Mexicans who often refer to their Spanish heritage. I get the impression that the upper classes in Mexico use this to distinguish themselves from the poor and to give themselves a prestige.

No, but they do have the same snobby attitude that the British have towards Americans. It's that way for any "mother" country that had colonies and lost them. They feel that their spelling and grammar of the langauge is correct, that their culture is older and better, etc. etc.

I don't think they hate them, but there definitely is an attitude of superiority over them.

This can also be seen in Mexico where the are actually a very large number of blondish hair and hazel eyed people are generally more rich or better off than black hair and brown eyed people.

I am of Spanish descent and yes, I despise illegal Mexicans to no end. They are otiose, ignorant and have a gross sense of entitlement. They are not motivated, no ambition and expect a hand-out at every turn. They adhere to filthy customs and generally are foul smelling. Physically, they have to be the ugliest species on the face of the earth. I've yet to find a more despicable ethnic group than Mexicans!

Kam you are so obviously not of Spanish descent! No Spaniard would put down Spanish culture the Mexican customs are fairly much the same as the Spanish customs for the most part. Mexicans are far from unmotivated as they hold down at least 3 jobs at a time. They are rarely on support of any kind. And as far as looks I don't know what Mexicans you have seen, but they are very similar in appearance to the Spaniards as other people have said why would the English, think their U.S. descendants are unattractive? Maybe you don't like the way poor Mexican's which are usually Indians look like hmm. Very racist comments Kam or should I say KKK..am?
