Only for those relative few who use a false, forged or stolen SSN to work. They have to change jobs fairly frequently to keep from being exposed as for identity theft/identity fraud by the employer getting a "no-match letter" from Social Security. Of course, if they are using a real SSN and the name of the real holder (identity theft), there will be no "no-match letter." Chances of getting caught in true-name identity theft are rather small, except in an ICE round-up. They will claim so many dependents that no federal or state income tax withholding applies.

Over one-half of illegal aliens do not work at all! Of the 40-odd percent of illegal aliens who do some work, over half of them do odd jobs, day labor or similar "irregular" employment and pay no Social Security, Medicare, income or other taxes.

The remainder, which works out to about 21-22% of all immigration-law violators, are using false, forged, stolen SSNs.

Yes if they use someones SS number. And the smart ones don`t get a tax refund at the end of the year becasue they don`t file. Two returns filed would expose them.
